Outdoor Kids Field Trip Club

Service Description
Happening every Thursday from September 11th to December 18th. No meetup on week of Thanksgiving. Come join our tribe of wonderful, like-minded families who share a love for nature, community, and conservation. We meet Thursdays from 10 AM–1 PM at various locations—sometimes at the Outdoor Kids Schoolhouse for structured activities, and other times for unstructured adventures like park playdates, museum visits, library meetups, or skating rink outings. We strive to stay local, enjoying all that our community offers by visiting businesses and public spaces that matter to us. Periodically, we’ll also organize service projects—like trash pickups or helping local businesses and public programs with small, manageable tasks that are suitable for all ages. This is a parent-involved club (not drop-off), open to all ages and families—no need to be enrolled in an Outdoor Kids class to participate. Age ranges can be provided to prospective parents to ensure there will be children your child’s age attending. Families not currently enrolled in any Outdoor Kids program pay a one-time fee of $25 per family per semester to join. Families with at least one student enrolled in an Outdoor Kids program participate for free by using the code CURRENT at checkout for free registration. Attendance is optional each week. Please note: some locations may charge admission, and each family is responsible for their own entrance fees. All details will be shared in advance. Private group via BAND app used for communication and planning -- will be shared for after enrollment. Let’s raise kind, curious kids together who love our planet and community.

Cancellation Policy
No Refunds or Prorating: Classes will not be prorated, discounted, or refunded due to non-attendance. Tuition will not be refunded due to dissatisfaction with class structure, curriculum, teaching style, or content once the class has begun. Withdrawal Policy: Students may be withdrawn from the program at any time with proper notice, but tuition already paid for the current month will not be refunded—even if classes are missed. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their child comes prepared with appropriate clothing and gear for outdoor play, including a change of clothes, towels, bug spray, sunscreen, hats, and weather-appropriate layers. Please be aware that children may get dirty or wet during activities. Behavior Expectations: Respectful behavior is expected of all students. If a child exhibits ongoing disruptive or unsafe behavior, a parent conference may be required. Outdoor Kids reserves the right to withdraw a student from the class if necessary for the safety and wellbeing of the group. No refunds will be issued in such cases. Weather Policy: Classes will be held in light rain or shine. In cases of severe weather, we may move under shelter, adjust the activity plan, or cancel and offer a make-up option when possible. Emergency Contact Info: Parents must provide up-to-date emergency contact information and notify us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs. All participating children must have a signed liability waiver on file. Waivers will be provided to parents on the first day of class and must be returned promptly. Outdoor Kids instructors will provide supervision and guidance during all activities; however, participation in outdoor play involves inherent risks, including encounters with wildlife or natural hazards. By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and agree that Outdoor Kids, its staff, and organizers are not liable for any injury, accident, or incident—including those resulting from children’s interaction with wildlife or natural elements. Families accept full responsibility and waive any right to pursue legal action related to such occurrences.
