Service Description
Designed for public school students with Fridays off or homeschoolers seeking an enriching day in nature, this program combines active exploration with thoughtful learning and creative expression. Children ages 6–11 will engage in hands-on, nature-based learning and play. Each week follows a consistent daily structure that helps children transition smoothly from one activity to the next, supporting their sense of routine. The day includes outdoor play, a read-aloud story and related lesson or experiment led by the instructor, games and time with our friendly pets (such as bearded dragons and tortoises), outdoor exploration, visits to Indian Gulley creek and Pine Forest woods, and STEM projects. Activities cover earth science topics like geology, weather, plants, and animals, along with nature-inspired art, bug hunting, excavating a “rock mountain,” pond fishing, tree climbing, and scavenger hunts. Ages: 6–11 Schedule: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Registration Fee: $25 (Non-refundable, due at signup) Tuition: $125 per month, paid on the first class day of each month (September, October, November, December) Enrollment: Open enrollment—register any time! By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and agree that Outdoor Kids, its staff, and organizers are not liable for any injury, accident, or incident—including those resulting from children’s interaction with wildlife or natural elements. Families accept full responsibility and waive any right to pursue legal action related to such occurrences.
