Service Description

This hands-on, inquiry-based class invites middle schoolers to dive deeper into the natural world around them. Students will explore local ecosystems, geology, weather patterns, and environmental science through field investigations, data collection, and scientific experiments. From studying soil composition and water quality to tracking seasonal changes and native species, students will develop critical thinking and scientific observation skills. We’ll also discuss human impacts on the environment and explore conservation strategies relevant to our region. With a mix of outdoor exploration and classroom analysis, this class encourages curiosity, fosters environmental stewardship, and builds a solid foundation for future science learning. Ages: 11–14 Registration Fee: $25 (Non-refundable, due at signup) Tuition: $50 per month, paid on the first class day of each month (September, October, November, December) Enrollment: Not open enrollment; full semester registration required. A class syllabus will be provided. What to Bring: Water bottle, two snacks, and a hearty lunch if staying for class after this one.
