Service Description
This dynamic class helps middle schoolers build confidence and creativity through storytelling and speaking. Students will explore different creative writing styles—such as short stories, poetry, and personal essays—while developing their public speaking skills through presentations, group discussions, and performance activities. There is always a science element woven throughout the class. Students will explore writing styles used in various science fields, such as writing reports, journal articles, and science communication pieces, connecting these skills to real-world science careers. Outdoor settings provide inspiring spaces for brainstorming, writing workshops, and impromptu speeches. We’ll focus on organizing ideas, crafting compelling narratives, and delivering messages with clarity and confidence. This class is perfect for students who want to find their voice, connect with others, and express themselves in fresh, meaningful ways. Ages: 11–14 Registration Fee: $25 (Non-refundable, due at signup) Tuition: $50 per month, paid on the first class day of each month (September, October, November, December) Enrollment: Not open enrollment; full semester registration required.
